“My family stays at Lakes Inn for our annual Detroit Lakes trip. The location is the best in town. Right near the beach & plenty of restaurants. Rooms are clean and team at the property are very friendly. Also attached to the best coffee shop in town. Would recommend and will return!”

“I wish we would have had more time to enjoy this cozy motel. There has clearly been a lot of love that went into the renovations of this motel and that came through in our stay. The owners are helpful and attentive and the location is right across the street from the lakeside walking path. The full kitchen was great for cooking our own breakfast in the morning too! We will be coming back next time we are in town”

“Such a sweet little place. We happened upon it and I’m so happy that we did. Much better than some of the big chains. Pet friendly. Tim is great! Super helpful. The place is clean and well stocked. There is a view of the lake just across the street. We are very happy with our decision to stay here!”

“Phenomenal location right on the lake, and Tim the owner is exceptionally friendly. The room included a full kitchen, which was great, and we never had any issues with noise, even though the other rooms were full. There's a great cafe only a few steps from the rooms, too. The only minor issue was the height of the bed--it was a few inches too high and required a jump to get in. An additional electrical outlet next to the bed would be good too. All in all, a pleasant and relaxing place to stay, and its location across from the lake can't be beat. Will definitely stay here again!”

“Tim was one of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever met. The rooms are immaculate and well-stocked. The location is across the road from sandy beach swimming, and a four minute walk from delicious Mexican or pizza. The atmosphere is quiet. Behind is an old dirt racetrack that was perfect for walking and pottying our dog without worry of distractions.”

“Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable! Extra bedding was provided in the room without asking! Kitchenette with full fridge was so nice to have during a multi night stay! Excellent location in town, within steps to the beach and many restaurants/bars! Would stay here again.”
